Hi there! I am looking for a designer to create a brochure for a high-tech underwater equipment. The device, Underwater Mass Spectrometer (UMS) is revolutionary piece of equipment. Usually Mass Spectrometers are lab facilities, but this one is unique for its downsizing and reliability, as well as for the capacity to operate underwater (which is still something unheard of among specialists). We want to distribute the brochure at a conference where we run tests of the equipment.
Our technical consultat prepared the text for the brochure following the model of scientific articles. You may change the setting and position of elements according to your design expertise. I am providing you a lot of photos from us and the producer in separate folders. I also give you a lot of our pictures from working at sea, for background, covers or wherever you need to add some visual content.
The format should be A5 portrait. The brochure must have a number of pages that is multiple of 4 (e.g. 12, 16, 20) including the cover.
I am uploading our company brochure for your general information and consulting. Please get inspiration from it regarding general design rules and templates, but bear in mind that it focuses on our services, mostly bathymetry, and the UMS has only one page dedicated to it and a few to water quality monitoring and chemistry analyses and probes. The brochure cover is focused on bathymetry, you may take a few images of perspective seabed topography and wreck images, but focus as much as you can on the images and maps found within the word document.
Please use the same blue navy background (C100, M85, Y20, K40) with white text, Helvetica font, and yellow-orange bullets and bars. Where the background is light colored, please use the blue navy mentioned above or black for text. You have the logos of the companies (ours and the producers) in separate folders.
For the final handout, I need the pages separate (not as a spread of two pages, left and right). However, for the design part, please use two-sided pages view, so that we can see better the general picture of the brochure when opened at those pages. I will need it for the typography as CMYK PDF at 300 dpi resolution together with the final design project. Also please add a bleed margin of 3 mm on each side.
Time for us is short and I will need the contest to be completed as fast as possible. I will make it 4 days long but I will work with those of you who have nice proposals so that I may elect the winner even faster. Anyway I need the project ready by next Thursday for typography.
