Background:
I run interactive children's story-time sessions - where children also get to make their own storybook to take home. They each get given an 'activity book' (as per attached), and they use this to design/decorate their own book - they get to add pictures, colour it in, add glitter etc. The book contains a story, and has blank spaces for the children to add pictures, and character name.

Project Overview:
I am looking for someone to re-design the layout for the A5 sized children's story activity book (8 pages including cover).

At the minute it looks a bit 'homemade' (see attached) - and I'm looking to make it look much more professional, as well as engaging for children.

I am looking for:
Improved font style/layout on the front cover, perhaps a border around the blank spaces, instructions in a 'hand-written/doodle' style font e.g. "design your front cover" and "what will you name your character?" With hand-drawn style arrows.

I want the style to match my logo (on front of the booklet) - so 'child-like' doodles/sketches (only in the borders/at the edge of the page) - perhaps a doodle of a crayon/scissors. Perhaps think along the lines of a (black and white) children's magazine/colouring book. I'm open to suggestions.

It needs to be in a format that I can edit myself - I am currently using MS Publisher. (i.e. I need it to be a template for other activity books).

The book should still include ONLY what is already there. No full page pictures or photos. It should still include the original words - in black. It should still have the blank spaces for children to add their own pictures. It should be on a white background (for printing).

Please also note that the attached document is an example only - so entries should not specific to this story - I am looking for a 'generic' template, which could be used for any story. i.e. no drawings of Cats on the Moon :0)

Please submit:
A cover design, and/or a double page internal spread.

I have lots more design work e.g. packaging design, adverts, flyer design- and am hoping to find someone I can work with longer term.

    I'm not looking to include any pictures... the idea is that the children draw the pictures.
