I would like to hire a freelance to illustrate my children's book. I want Zoey to look real to create the story around her little world. Like a few sample pictures I provided.
The book is about over coming fear and how the long haired chihuahua Zoey climbs a mountain all on her own, as before she was so afraid of heights. The illustration should look like a pop art.
Ive also attached photos of myself if you can make my character look real as possible. I am tall and skinny I do wear a lot of black but very fashionable.

I want to make sure Zoey looks almost like her photo not ANIME. I am targeting the book to be 3-7 years old. So I want the art to be sweet as well and not too hard for the children, but something also different than all the other book illustrations out there. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Zoey stood with her mommy (I am her mommy in the book) on Bear Mountain and admired that view. Her mommy hugged her and told her, “I love you, my little Zoey Bear. You were so brave today!”

      Hey Hala, sorry I was traveling and did not have access to my account to follow up. I love pop art like Roy Lichtenstein but creating our own style. I don't mind using any colors to look cool. Try and only use the polka Dots in the background and for the characters in the book no polka dots so it stands out. I want it to be fun and kid friendly and something different than the basic children book illustrations. I do want to make sure that Zoey and I look as realistic as possible. Non Anime or Zoey looking too much of a fox. The story is based on her trip to Bear Mountain in Upstate NY where there nothing but mountains, rocks and trees and steps that she runs up.

    i think the price is for the sample, since thats a fair amount for a full page illustration:) i doubt its for the whole book since i dont know anyone who would do it at that price:)

    Hi there! I have quite a few questions that i wanted to clarify. When you refer that you want the illustration in a pop art style, do you mean like your standard pop art illustration ? andy warhol, roy licherstine kind of thing? very colorful, comic, bold looking? just i was slightly confused when you mentioned you wanted the illustration of you to be as realistic as possible, so you just mean you want it to look like you, not a realism drawing ( like making it look like a photo or super blended and really realistic) you want it pop art. sorry i know this may sound like a silly question, i just wanted to be clear. secondly, whats your target audience? really young like 3-7 or a bit older 7-13 ? thanks:)
