“Whilst the design was easily the better one out of the small competition I ran, it took a bit of work to get it to where we needed it to be. I think the language barrier had a small part to play in this, but still, if I ask someone to design me a logo, I need them to understand the many purposes of a logo, and how it will be used. Once the contest was decided, it took some time to get the file types I had asked for in the initial brief. If I've asked for someone to design a logo, I don't feel like I should need to explain the reason for having a logo in various file formats. As a Graphic Designer, I would expect that this would be part of your knowledge. The handover dragged on - we got there in the end, but the handover part of the process was challenging. Given that everything I asked for was detailed in the original design brief, I didn't feel like I should need to go over all of it again in order to get the files the way I needed them. ”
