Design the central character for a children’s book series entitled “Mr Avocado”. The character is a ‘cartoon-ish’ avocado with human attributes. Eleven (11) separate images of Mr Avocado, in various poses, are required to be produced in vector format by the contest winner. Please see the attached PDF for detailed information relating to what is required at the various stages of adjudication. You will only be required to produce all 11 images if you are the contest winner. Otherwise, you will only be required to produce a maximum of 2 images of Mr Avocado.

    Our judging panel has identified #119 , #126 and #141 as our top three choices for Mr Avocado. We will decide the winner in the next few days. Thank you to all other contestants who submitted Mr Avocados in this contest. All those who received 3 stars were of a sufficiently high quality that we consider them all suitable for publication in a children's book. However, there can be only one Mr Avocado.

    To clarify how the contest will proceed from here: (1) Contestants who have received 3 stars have completed "sad" avocado and "bicycle" to a satisfactory standard. We consider each of these submitted Mr Avocados that received 3 stars as suitable for publication in our children's book. No further work needs to be done by contestants once they reach 3 stars (2) Our judging panel will convene shortly after the contest closes next week. The panel will consider all contestants' entries that received 3 stars. (3) The Panel's determination of the top three entries will be given 4 stars. (4) However, there can be only one "Mr Avocado". Of the top 3, the entry selected to be Mr Avocado will be given 5 stars and declared winner.

    And just another question, you say it needs to be in vector format, so we are not able to draw it up in photosop? Using photoshop you can get an array of textures and brush strokes to make it more "children book style" but if you want it in illustrator, it will be more flat like drawings, is this what you want? or are we able to draw it up in photoshop ( where the body face and limbs are on seperate layers?)

      Photoshop will be fine if it is the best illustration.

    is the prize money for all 11 drawings or just one?

      All 11. This has been considered. There is a fair degree of duplication involved as, for some images, only facial expressions will change (e.g. Images #1-#3 - we don't expect a completely new Mr Avocado to be drawn - you can just change the facial expressions) . For others, there is bicycle, skates and umbrella and changes of position though. I hope this assists.
