We need a logo, font and colours for a new online store.

We sell coins (ancient to modern) to customers worldwide. The name of the store is: O'Connor Coins

The logo:
The final logo design should have a connection with both my family name (O'Connor) and the traditional coat of arms of the family (an oak tree). Please see the sample images attached. There are options to develop the logo as a heraldic coat of arms or as a more Celtic-inspired design.

Note: The logo needs to work well in colour / black and white.

For more inspiration, designers can see what other coin shops have as their logo at a website like:
www.vcoins.com

Colours:
Green, gold and white. Green should be more muted and not too bright.

Font:
Should have an Irish feel, but definitely not tacky or too complicated.

Note: there will be more design work to follow on this project (Ebay store, website etc.) for the winning designer.

FEEDBACK:

Thanks so much to everyone who submitted a design, I appreciate your hard work and effort!

After the first round, we can say that we prefer logos with 'oak trees' - either heraldic oak trees (from the Middle Ages or Celtic designs).
Other types of tree don't really fit for our logo, so please avoid using more generic looking trees.

Please don't include a shield or other surrounding decorations, like a coat of arms (helmets, swords and decorative scrolls).

Circular logos are nice, but we also like a logo standing alone with the font to the side or below.

We will give individual feedback to designers tomorrow for the most promising designs.

Any designs that have potential have been marked with a rating (1-5 stars). Designs that are not interesting for us have been rejected.

FEEDBACK #2

Once again, a big thank you to everyone who has submitted a design. We appreciate your time and effort.

A few designs have now been rated with 4 stars and come very close to our ideal logo.

Colours: we prefer a darker green and not bright green. We also prefer a slightly middle to darker gold colour, yellows won't really work in this design.

Artwork: please, please make sure that your image for the logo is copyright-free and/or your own original work. We love some of the original designs that have been created by designers.

Font: the fonts so far are good, but there is still lots of room to improve. Experiment and see what we can come up with. There are lots of medieval and classical fonts so far, maybe a more modern and elegant font would work.

Last but not least, please don't copy designs or logos by other designers.

Thanks for your hard work so far, the top designs will receive individual feedback tomorrow evening.
