We are a family farming business in the Drakensberg region of South Africa. We farm with grain crops (eg: corn, soya, wheat) and beef cattle. The name of our business is ‘Drayton Farms’.

We are wanting to take our business to the next level with the design of a modern logo which is simple yet eye-catching, and conveys the essence of our business. We farm in beautiful, mountainous surroundings, with beautiful animals, and are incredibly proud of what we’ve created on our farm.

Our values entail a hard work ethic, a connection to the earth and her fauna and flora, an attention to detail, and a progressive, innovative approach to farming grains and cattle.

We are looking for a logo which is fresh, innovative and simple in its composition. Our current logo (attached) met our needs and could serve as a good base from which to start. The colors of green, brown and blue indicate our crops, our link to the soil, and our abundance of water on our farm. We could enhance this current design by creating more of a flow within the elements of this image, and adding a few brighter colors to enhance the appeal of the logo. The text can also be changed to something more modern.

As much as the current logo offers a good base to work from, we are open to new ideas which may move the design away from a stereotypical agricultural design.

We look forward to collaborating on a design which is cutting edge, and serves to encapsulate our values and what we’re working to achieve at Drayton Farms.
