We are a streetwear brand dedicated to connecting the African immigrant to their chosen home outside the continent, through edgy clothing that tells a story and bridges the gap between the two places. Launched in the United States in 2018, our vision is to start by connecting the “American-African” (African immigrants living in America as either citizens or permanent residents) to clothing that is an expression of both cultures, eventually moving beyond America to all the places around the world that Africans have come to call their second home.

With an estimated 2.1 million African immigrants living in the United States and an additional 4.6 million in the E.U., we see a significant opportunity to cater to these individuals with a brand dedicated to celebrating their two homes. While so many clothing brands exist that are focused on African heritage (using kitenge, Ankara and other ethnic patterns), we are yet to see one that is truly aimed at merging and celebrating two vastly different cultures in clothing that can be worn every day. We intend to be that brand and bridge that gap.

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to put your spin on our vision and turn that into a series of graphics that can be printed on a line of t-shirst and hoodies. Not only is there a cash prize, but the winner will score a paid position as a creative director for our brand and get to see their designs worn by people all over the world.
