I want to make a T-shirt design(s) for a new company called Retro Joe. Create something that gives a feel of the 1950s, 1960's, or 1970s, 1980s, 1990s...try and make it a nice positive overall look that gives a warm nostalgic feel to the wearer. I have a design for the company's Logo already and a couple of T shirt designs that need tweaking. I need a talented graphic designer to help me create some t-shirt designs at a low cost, because I want to make many designs. You must NOT use copyrighted images in the design - like famous movie stars/ pop stars unfortunately! See Uploaded files of designs I have already that are ok except CANNOT be used as have copyrighted images of movie stars in them (Duh! LOL) . I will have to substitute those copyrighted images for something else.
Do not use Copyrighted Vector files or just steal an image off the internet. Be original.
Think of for instance one or two images either B & W or colour that evoke a warm or funny nostalgic feel for an era you choose. You might put a line of Typography there like a Headline news banner or something and my little RED Logo saying the Brand name say over the left corner area of your design.
So, I want to see something nice & COOL. Use a couple of colours or go black & white it's up to you.
Please don't just stick Palm trees and the Logo on...be original and follow the brief! Have fun!
I have Uploaded my RED logo with the Brand name on it. You can use this in your design.

    Thanks again everyone for contest entries. The Winner was chosen as he met the brief and submitted well designed images. I will be looking at other entries in the next couple of days to see if any are suitable for bidding on.

    Thanks everybody for your entries I hope you ALL enjoyed the process! You can learn a lot from these contests. Always always read the brief and keep checking the COMMENTS boxes. I will be studying these over the next 2 weeks and will award a winner. I may make an offer on a couple of others if they are at a budget price as we are a start up and not loaded unfortunately - but if you choose to sell your design to us we will keep you in mind for future Projects and you will have the peace of mind that you learned something valuable along the way (I hope) and for your C.V. you can point to your work being out there somewhere in the real world and not just stuck on your computer.
    So, thanks again and fingers crossed!

    I hope EVERYBODY takes this on board when designing for this contest. I will be checking ALL ENTRIES at close of contest to see if any images are Copyrighted vector files or taken off the Internet. Please read the brief carefully and then ask yourself this very important question - "Would I wear this?" I'm surprised there aren't any designs with one or two images and Typography (not the Brand name 'Retro Joe' Logo which I have Uploaded and only one or two have cleverly used) from the decade used in a FUN way or nice way.
    Some EXCELLENT ENTRIES so far keep up the good work!

    I have to keep reminding people that if they choose to use my Brand name in their design it must be in the exact Font I used in my Logo I Uploaded. Also everybody keeps placing palm trees in their designs with my Logo which looks nice but does not really fit with the brief - 'a design that evokes Nostalgia - a warm emotional bond to a past decade - 1950s to the 1990s...' Think of using one or two images with fitting typography to the era you pick, and if you use the Brand name just use the RED logo I Uploaded somewhere in the design. It looks nice usually tucked away in the top left corner of design. I like the RED logo and it can be used at a small size to fit any design. You could have for instance even one or two B & W images + a maybe a line of Typography from the era you have chosen NOT saying 'Retro Joe' with the little RED logo with brand name placed where I mentioned. Try & think beyond palm trees please.

    Don't worry I won't close the contest early...but please be aware of common mistakes I keep seeing - people are using the Brand name and putting it in a different Font than the one I uploaded in my Logo. Also they are using Copyrighted vector files which I said I do not want the hassle of paying for etc...

    No use of Copyrighted Vectors or imagery allowed. Will check on all Entries at the end of contest and simply REJECT any that do this so save me trouble and WITHDRAW now if you have. Please do not just stick the Brand name on the T-shirt in any Font that is not the Font used in the Logo I uploaded.

    I normally look at this page late evening in UK time.
    A lot of entries are using the Brand name without looking at the font used in my Logo.
    Check the Logo jpeg I Uploaded please if you are using Brand name on your design. Thanks.

    Any designs using the actual Brand name would need to use the same font as the Logo. I supplied a jpeg of the Logo it had that 1950's style font. Really nice entries so far!
