i am a writer in the Washington, DC area. i need a website that will allow people to find me when they read my articles, and that will show them all my published works.
i need a splash/welcome page w some sort of nice imagery and a welcome text. then i need main places on a navigation bar on the top: home, articles, videos, photos, Davis in the News, About, (and maybe two others i haven't settled on yet).
Under "articles", i'll need tabs for: The National Interest, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Times, The American Conservative, The Daily Beast, Politico, US News & World Report, The Hill, RealClearDefense, Armed Forces Journal, Others
under "videos" i want to add tv interviews I've had. i need to be able to add a short description, the outlet, and the link, with a small video window under it.
"photos" i want to be able to post any number of photo galleries.
"Davis in the News" should have the ability to write a short description, the outlet, and the link to each article that is published about me in the following categories: online articles, tv/video interviews, radio
on the 'home' page, i want a form at the bottom "Contact Me" that gives them the opportunity to fill in name, phone number, email address, and comments. when they click "submit" it sends me an email message.
Under "Davis in the News" i want to be able to add an article or video in which i'm quoted or interviewed. i want to be able to add a short description and then the title, publication, and link.
i need this site to be easily managed so i can do it myself. i want it to be easy to add content to each of the tabs, and over time to easily add new tabs, sub-tabs, video, photos, blog, etc, to any existing page..
