Modifying a simple Embedded C code with TM4C123G TI microcontroller - 12/05/2017 14:10 EDT

Need help in modifying a simple code with TM4C123G TI microcontroller. I have the code and all the components setup already, It has a temperature sensor to display the temperature on LCD every second, and light sensor to turn on the LED if the room is dark. they work correctly but, I want to make them as interrupts and add hibernate mode to wake up the launchpad only when one of the sensors are triggered.

the temperature sensor is using 1 second delay to display on LCD and PuTTY. I want to change it to 1 second timer edge trigger interrupt on the same port. the light sensor is just turning on the LED in the while (1) loop, which is not good. I want to change it to interrupt on the same port, as well with different priority than other interrupt. The hibernate mode as well, needs to be very simple, to wake up the launchpad whenever these interrupts are triggered. if its lagging by few seconds, its expected to come out of hibernate. Also, I need the explanation and commands for each line. Not for very simple line, but for lines that are used to set or clear a bit in a register, as why this bit is set or cleared like this.
