The issues you raise would affect previous years accounts and consultant with hmrc would need to happen . What would probably happen is a prior year adjustment could be made to your accounts , however what is obvious is your accounting systems are not working so I would see a major part of my job would be to help you have a good accounting system that aviods this in future .
