1) A GUI for welcome screen where we have the name of app and about the app (in 500 characters) with option to login or register*. Registration
will require the necessary inputs name, address, sector, purpose, area selection
starting from state to district to block, mail id and/or mobile number. Verification of
mail id and/or mobile number would be required thru OTP over the mail/mobile
number or activate link otherwise.
2) Second Screen should conform the success or failure in Login based on server side
records‟ varification. And recover password option in case of wrong or forgotten
password should be provided through OTP over mail and/or mobile.
3) The successful login is must for data collection over the ground. However, after the
login, the data collection should be facilitated in both online and offline mode. For
offline mode of data collection an option to send later should be available (As soon as
the net connectivity is available the archived send later files should have option of
bulk upload to the provided server/cloud). During offline mode acquisition data once
acquired/tagged should be locally be tagged and available for the user for quick
reference
4) The attributes for the Point of Interest (PoI) shall include static and dynamic
parameters as:*
i) Type of water resources (bullet button to select among at max 7 types – will
be provided by Institute)

ii) Location details using the dropdown feature starting from state – district –
block – village (as per the Census of India official data) and also an option of
manual input that can be filled by user.
iii) Geo-coordinates, its accuracy and time stamp to be automatically fetched
using onboard mobile GPS once “obtain location” is clicked which will
include latitude, longitude, altitude/elevation, accuracy.

(For ease the POI
would be Point type shapefile).
iv) A unique ID of the POIs to be allotted in database for records only if the PoI is
successfully submitted by the user (alphanumeric with a logic
StDstBlk00001).#
v) Maximum of two pictures from different angle. #
(may require image
compression at client end to ensure max limit upto 500 KB/pic)
vi) Ownership of PoI being captured (may be Govt or private)
vii) Usage#
(Check box (multi-check options): Drinking, Domestic, Agriculture,
Livestock, Tapped by Govt. Authority, Wastage, Water Storage or Other)
viii) Physical Characteristics (alphanumeric)
a. Discharge (in Litre per Minute) #
b. pH (no unit)@ (values should be auto selected upto one decimal place with
the range from 0 – 14, eg. pH is 6.5)
c. Temperature (in degree Celsius) @ (values should be auto selected upto one
decimal place with the range from 0 – 110 degree Celsius, eg. Temp is
45.60C)
d. EC (µS/cm) @
ix) Any other information (to be filled manually – 1000 character)
x) Status: (bullet button – Perennial, Seasonal, Vulnerable or Dried) #
xi) Remarks (to add the details that have been missed upto 1000 characters)
5) The user should have option to delete or edit the POI before confirming thru send or
send later. If sending fails, the data should be held in „Send later‟ folder.
6) The user should able to visualize the real time or last cached status of [login to view URL] on the app.
7) Provision of area visualization mechanism through area selection based on Admin
level selection, watershed or customized search (location name).
8) Error/Exception handling for invalid entries or null (for mandatory entries) through
popup.
9) The app should be customizable in the manner to enhance functionality based on
futuristic requirement.
10) All the data to be uploaded on the dedicated server
11) Simplicity for the user: Convenient easy and friendly user interface. Must adhere to
platform specific UI standards provided by Google.
12) Authority: App must have two categories of account as (i) Admin (for overall control)
and (ii) User (for general users).
