Android App Developer with Hardware Interface Experience -- 2

Project Specifics:

* We have developer a hardware device (similar to attendance device with camera, temperature sensor, proximity sensor, RFID reader, BLE/WiFi/LTE, speaker, mic, rechargeable battery, LED and 4" LCD (touchless) screen.

* The device hosts Android 8.1 and we need to develop and Android app that is installed on the device, controls the hardware and communicates with server through API and MQTT protocol.

* Camera is used for accurate face recognition and Bar Code/QR code decoding (primary function)

* Camera is also used for taking pictures/transmitting videos based on command from the server (secondary function)

* Information received from the server/device itself is presented on the screen

* Being a touchless screen, it can only display received information but not interact with user

* Proximity sensor is used for detecting hand which should trigger temperature sensor to take and display body temperature on the screen

* Initially device will need to be connected to WiFi through an external mobile app through similar experience as Amazon Echo to set WiFi SSID/Password

* OTA updates should be enabled which allows to update the app

General Requirements:

* Design and build advanced applications for Android platform

* Comprehensive understanding of Android application architecture, UI components & controls, External module integration, Intents, Application classes like Activity, Service, Intent Receiver, Content Provider to manage data.

* Must have expert level knowledge of interfacing with hardware interface e.g. Bluetooth/WiFi, Camera, Sensors (e.g. temperature sensor), Mic, Speaker, LED and writing native modules if needed

* Must have worked on vision applications - specifically demonstrated knowledge of face recognition and QR/Bar code reading with high accuracy.

* Experience working with remote data via REST API and JSON

* Expert in object oriented programming principles, strong working knowledge of design patterns, and proficient in clean code best practices.

* Dedicated to application performance, security, and efficiency.

* Familiarity with version control systems. SVN/Git preferred
