419319 Site conversion to cms.

We're in need of a cms site so that all of our committee members can easily upload content: new pages, articles, photos and other media. (n.b. I am only slightly familiar with Wordpress and Joomla.) and are seeking a developer who has the facility to convert a slightly unusual custom design into cms. The new design for the La Pêche Fair Trade Town website can be seen here: [login to view URL] (not accessible to the public). N.B. it is currently parked on a host that does not support mysql/php. The new cms site will be moved to a dedicated host with required support. SPECIFICS: We would like to be able to: - Add pages or change the order of pages (left bar menu and footer menu items) while retaining the “moving arm” left bar menu graphic. (for example, we might want to eventually add a “blog & comments” page). - We may want to add other items to the footer menu, such as “rss” or “facebook” etc. therefore this footer menu division might have to be set up to automatically increase in depth to accommodate for 2 or three lines of links. - Upload any size of photo and have the choice of not framing it (as seen on the “home” page) or having it appear with frame. Please note two different colour frames (white or grey) have been used depending on the text background colour, for example compare the top to the bottom half page here: [login to view URL] - Upload photos, videos, audio and pdf's to the Gallery & Archives page (with optional “comments” section at the bottom). The images on this gallery page do not have to be framed with the “auto frame” described above. Here is a gallery example that I had in mind: [login to view URL] - have an e-mail form on the “contact” page. - have spam security on the e-contact and e-mail sign-up. - create french versions of each page. There is currently only one french page with respective banner uploaded: [login to view URL] PAGES: Index Page plus 10 Primary Pages in english and 10 Primary Pages in french; and various secondary pages (mostly that display “full article” from a “read more...” prompt): - Welcome/Bienvenue (Index): n.b. we are in possession of two domain names, one for english and one for french: [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] where the old site currently resides. (each of the following pages to be available also in french) 1 - Home 2 - About Us 3 - Fair Trade Facts > read more... (on various topics) 4 - What You Can Do 5 - Where To Buy 6 - News & Events > read more...(about various news items or past events) > link to photo album of event. 7 - Our Initiatives > read more...(ie. dish lending library photo gallery) 8 - Gallery & Archives > view... (selected photo album or play or download item...) 9 - Links & Resources 10 - Contact > mailing list sign up... (name, e-mail address) RIGHT SIDE-BAR (“Check It Out”): We would like to be able to: - Upload side-bar entries that include png's or jpegs with text content. - Link entries to other pages, specific articles or other websites. - Choose the pages on which these entries will display (eg. “all” or “selected pages”) and choose the order in which these boxes appear along the side bar. - Link an entry to the occasional survey or contest. - Link an entry to the “mailing list sign-up”. - Display an optional event calendar with dates linking to an event's details.
