Data (word) clean up in Excel

I need some data cleanup in the attached spreadsheet. On the tab "Subj matter" in the column "Keyword". I'm looking to reduce all these keywords to particular subjects of awards (this is for a printable award website). E.g., soccer awards, music awards, conduct awards, etc. I need the data cleaned up so that 1) Duplicate subjects are standardized. E.g., if "dance" and "dancing" are two separate entries, then pick one (either, doesn't matter) and change all of them so that they're both "dance"...and then change every other version of "dance*" to just "dance". 2) Remove extra characters or stop words. E.g., "camping for" should just be "camping" and "++swimming" should just be "swimming" That's it. Thanks for your bids!
