Engineering Calculation Program

Currently, an excel sheet with formulas are used to calculate the engineering calculations. I would like to make the excel sheet into a VB/VB.Net application with the output as an executable file but not using VBA. User will input data and when they click on the 'Calculate' button, an output window will be display the results.
I have a mockup of the UI that I want the program to look like.
The formulas are all in an excel sheet and it might be quite difficult to extract the formulas. It will be easier (I believe) if you use something like Farpoint Spread to implement the formulas.
