Custom circuit required for dual (2) ultrasonic transducer (distance sensor) setup. This circuit needs to connect to Arduino Uno digital pins (output and input) to be able to use the pulseIn() function to determine time-of-flight for distance measurement.
BOTH ultrasonic transducers need to transmit AND receive to determine distance (see image). The material being measured between the transducers will vary in size and distance, so BOTH transducers must determine distance independently from each other.
Total distance between the ultrasonic transducers is fixed at time of measurement, but can vary between 12-18in if needed (30-45cm) to accommodate minimum distance restrictions of the transducers.
Transducer frequency is desired to be 40kHz, but might be increased up to 3MHz if needed. 40kHz is the minimum frequency to be used.
This project should return a circuit diagram for a custom circuit that attaches to the transducers and Arduino Uno input/output pins. Please do not use pre-existing ultrasonic circuitry.
