Looking for an engineer with the goal to develop a prototype of a "smart dice". This should be a device with the form of a dice that sends a signal to a smartphone app after being rolled.
- PCB
- Accelerometer
- Bluetooth LE with Deep-Sleep Function
- NFC (RFID-Chip)
- Battery with USB-Port for charging / optional: Inductive Charging
- 20-sided Case (3D-printed or else / Material to be evaluated)
- Smartphone App / Framework to receive the bluetooth signal
Use-Case:
1. The dice is picked up.
2. It's rolled.
3. When landed it sends out a simple signal to the app
4. The app then displays a random number.
Requirements:
1. The dices hardware must not do anything else besides sending a signal.
2. It should not react when being shook.
3. The dice is in "deepsleep" when not used and waken up by picking up movement or rolling movement.
Design:
The dice should be blank and the sides should not display any numbers.
The app should not be designed.
As a start-up we are open for any suggestions knowing that there might be hurdles with the development. We are excited to find an enthusiast and we are open for individual planning to get the first prototype built within one month.
Your goal is to deliver the fully working dice with the build of the app. See the attached file to get a first impression of our idea (Notice: Exemplary presentation - No design needed at this point.)
