I am currently working in the robotics research center of IIIT Hyderabad under Prof. K Madhava Krishna. I have always been interested in the field of robot vision and the machine learning involved in it and I have tried to gain a better understanding through various projects. My paper (as second author) on - "DeepFly: Towards Complete Autonomous Navigation of MAVs with Monocular Camera" was accepted in the Tenth Indian Conference on Computer Vision, Graphics and Image Processing. (ICVGIP 2016) Being in RRC, I was introduced to the Vision and ML involved in the robotics which motivated my desire to learn more about the same. One of my first project was on Frontier exploration and object detection on Turtle-Bot. And after that I switched to the Micro Aerial Vehicles (MAV’s) and algorithms of vision based on that. In summer's 16, I started working in Uurmi Systems, India -- Research and Development Center as a research intern and successfully completed the project on ‘Staircase Detection and Pose Estimation on MAV’s '. I have worked on Detecting, Localizing, and Recognizing Trees with a Monocular MAV. Our team proposes a novel pipeline for detecting, localizing, and recognizing trees with a quadcoptor equipped with monocular camera. Trees are detected using Neural Network and tagged with a GPS coordinate through our global localizing and positioning framework. I submitted a paper on this in ICRA 2017 (as second author).
