Logo design for use on sports bags, apparel etc

Hello All Our project is to design a graphic that can be used on items of clothing, bags, towels etc. The client is a martial arts club and already has an existing club logo. However, we seek the design of a graphic that incorporates the clubs name and an icon / graphic that portrays the club as being a martial art club. We need it to be fresh, crisp and clean and something a little different. We are trying to create a brand we can put on clothing items that the members will be excited to own and wear so it needs to be professional - e.g. no child's graphics.
