I would like an desktop game developed, with the target audience of students. This will be a very simple app, with a single touch format. The user will touch the screen in order to lift their character and consequently avoid obstacles (very similar to the fundamentals of ‘Flappy Bird’), progressing further into the game, but the essence of the game remaining the same regardless of progress – to avoid obstacles by a single touch. The obstacles would be pillars, which users would have the opportunity to customise, with the idea that the player would be avoiding pillars with personalised obstacles at university – eg: ‘group work’ ‘deadlines’ ‘early morning starts’. Then the distance the user gets will have a score related to English university degree classification – if they get to a certain distance they get a 3rd/2nd/1st class degree. The final level of customisation would be the icon that the user controls can be an image of their choosing, and the background of the game would also be a personalised image. The app would be entirely offline based and therefore would not require any internet connection once downloaded.
I am willing to accept a lower level of refinement and finish to the final app with respect to the project budget but as long as the fundamentals of the app work.

Hi, I have experience with creating 2D games similar to what you describe. I actually have one very similar game in which a spaceship is avoiding asteroids. The game is based on the same basic principle as Flappy Bird. It could probably be relatively easily modified to avoiding pillars instead and allowing for customizable textures. But I have a question: is it really supposed to be controlled by touch and not a keyboard or mouse? I ask because you mention it is supposed to be for desktops.
