Front-End Designer for WordPress Sites

Do you love designing beautiful websites and user experiences that inspire? Is front-end coding in your talent toolbox? If you're an experienced front-end web designer, and you care about the kind of clients your work for, then apply to become a Front-End Web Designer at Ursa Minor. We are in need of an experienced front-end WordPress designer to join our digital agency. You will be working with our developer who will handle the backend work such as setting up and configuring the sites, server admin and integrations. So we're looking for help with just the front-end – working with text to choose effective stock images, designing pages, UI elements such as menus, headers, footers and forms. We also need help on an ongoing basis to test existing websites on different browsers and screen sizes to identify and fix front-end issues. Essentially we want someone who will keep our clients' websites looking and working beautifully. Occasionally we also need design work such as social media profile images and posts, banners, and other graphical assets. Possibly branding and logo design if it is in your skill set. You will work in our internal company task management system, interacting with other team members and accessing project assets. We will begin by assigning some simple short tasks like designing individual pages, and then if there seems to be a good mutual fit, add additional tasks and sites. This is a full-time, remote contract position. Tasks are assigned with due dates and you are free to complete them during whatever hours and from whatever places you choose.
