OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT: The objective of this assignment is to design and develop a Marketplace which will provide an enabling virtual environment for Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Customer (B2C) transactions. SCOPE OF SERVICES: Task 1- Registration of users on the marketplace The platform designer will liaise with our Program Implementation Unit to develop a platform to be used by registered and unregistered users. The system will allow: 1. Businesses to register as sellers 2. Traders to register as buyer 3. The public to register to also enable them transact 4. Government and foreign companies to register and also transact Task 2 - Content Management System: The platform will have a Content Management System (CMS) which will support but not limited to the following functions. 1. A front-end user interface that will allow users to add, upload product photos, modify and delete content from the website without the intervention of a webmaster. 2. A content delivery application (CDA) that will compile information and updates the website. 3. An Administrative / registration account management Task 3 - Customer Service: The platform will have a Customer Service system which will support the function of customers’ accounts with dashboard, order history, account details, telephone number, e-mail and address book. Task 4 - Checkout Service: The platform will have a checkout service system which will support but not limited to the following functions. 1. A checkout module with billing and delivery address 2. A checkout module with unique billing identification number 3. A checkout module with order confirmation, payment options and receipt. Task 5 - Payment Method: The platform will have a payment system which will support but not limited to the following functions. 1. An online payment option that supports all cards(MasterCard, Visa, Verve, Pay stack) 2. An option that enables customers to pay on delivery 3. An option that enables foreign customers to pay via letter of credit or wire transfer (T/T). Task 6 - Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Management: The platform will have a SEO Management system which will support a Google and an automated sitemap generation. Task 7 – Analytics: The platform will perform Analytics functionalities using Google analytics and E-commerce tracking. Task 8 - Real time online chat messaging: The platform will perform a two way instant chat messaging function in real time. Task 9 - Feedback Management: The platform will have a Feedback Management system which will support but not limited to the following functions 1. Enable users to make recommendations on the platform 2. Allow customers to leave feedback on a product and services. The platform must have safety features and must allow for many users at any time, 24 hours
