web2py examples

1) Please provide me with a web2py example that allows me to edit and add new records to a table using web2py forms opened up in modal form. E.g. I have a table generated based on a web2py model and then I am able to add and edit items in that table using web2py modal (pop-up) forms that allows me to edit existing records and create new records. The web2py validators defined in the web2py model should still work 2) Please show a simple example of how I can enforce a dashboard layout accross specific web views (such as using a sidebar menu) without having to duplicate the code on each page
