Has anybody heard of an old computer game called curveball? I would like to create a game similar to that but more of a baseball feel. Instead of hitting the ball back and forth to each other, the pitch would be thrown bouncing off side top or bottom walls and you have to try and hit targets in the distance to gain extra points. Since it is baseball I would like it to be three strikes and you're out (three misses and you're out), adding up the score from the distance you hit it plus any targets being hit. I would also like there to be an upgrade screen where you can use points earned from your score to buy more power (new bats ex. wiffle, wooden, aluminum, titanium, etc.) to hit further and gain more points and swing speed (maybe moving the curser faster). Also have different kinds of balls you can buy to hit (ex. tennis balls, footballs, golf balls, wiffle balls, bouncy balls, soft balls, etc.) The levels should get longer as you level up and there be a homerun wall on each level but i would like it to take a while and be pretty difficult to hit a homerun to keep the player interested.
