I am a Software Engineer specializing in end-to-end Web Development with expertise crafting applications that integrate 3rd party APIs with Google's GSuite platform (which spans Google Docs, Drive, Forms, Calendar, Gmail and, of course, Google Sheets). The Dear Systems platform supports a robust REST-based API that I can utilize using Google Apps Script - GSuite's native scripting language (based on JavaScript). Accessing the desired data-sets listed in your proposal are straight-forward tasks as there are explicit end points available to retrieve data for each item. But this project is not without challenges. The difficult part of working with the Dear Systems API is the unreliable up times of its network. As stated in the documentation, developers will need to account for irregularities in network availability and maintain a queue (of requests) to allow applications to re-try requests to the API. Hi Daniel, I've got experience retrieving data via Google's own API to budgeting and quoting sheets; it's what I do at work, and I'll be covering it in my blog (see profile). I've also developed my own API for a startup and have experience querying and testing API endpoints. I think the easiest route for you is to set up a Google Sheet with an embedded script. This means you'd have a drop-down menu at the top of the sheet (alongside Tools, File, etc.) with items to poll the Dear API for what you need. From there, the script can set up new sheets with the relevant data tabulated, and make it easy for you to filter without requiring any extra technical knowledge from you. I took a look at the API docs and they're fairly standard. To get this started I'll need a clear articulation of how you're using Dear and how this project's going to benefit you, and some technical info like API keys. We can set up a meeting through video call, or go by email. Based on the API's responsiveness, the time it takes for me to familiarise myself with it (should be quick - 1 week), any specific details you might raise in communications, it would take about three weeks to do well. "Do well" meaning set up in a way that won't give you grief later down the track, and is extensible if you need extra work done. Regards Tom
