Wordpress/PHP/Javascript Development

We are a Cape Town based digital solutions factory. We're looking for a competent developer who is familiar with both Wordpress and Javascript to continue work on an application that has been on the back-burner for the last year. The application is based on a Wordpress theme, with heavy customization through Javascript. The successful candidate must be based in Cape Town or Johannesburg and be able to work in the following environment, under the guidance of one of our founders: Ubuntu 18.04 on AWS Wordpress 7.4 on nginx Pure Javascript (not NodeJS or React) MySql 8.0 Further opportunities once this application is successfully launched will be available on an as needed basis. A degree in Computer Science or related discipline from a recognized institution, or proven work experience over a minimum of 5 years in the field of software development is mandatory. We will be conducting interviews during the first week of June with short-listed individials. Proposals from individuals outside of Cape Town or Johannesburg, agencies or those lacking the phrase "I'm optimistic" in the first sentence of their proposal will not be considered.
