I'm looking for someone to develop an application running on a Raspberry Pi that would be able to connect to a H.264 RTSP stream from a video surveillance camera and display it on the HDMI output. The URL for the RTSP stream would be entered by a user from a web interface and the status be displayed on the same web page (i.e. Connected, Failed to Connect, lost connection). Connection and display of the video stream would be done via Omxplayer or equivalent. This is a simple proof of concept for now. If this works well, I would expand this to a much larger project with the intent to productize it.

i usually make rtsp streams using the pi's camera, still this is pretty straight forward project. just to be clear you want a web interface where the user will input the rtsp url and the video stream should play over hdmi on the pi right. and this web interface being accessible over the network the pi is connected to. text me back so that we can discuss further and also feel free to check my profile for some of my previous work
