Hey! I'm not actually bidding but just want to say that this log entry just says that the request was handled by Squid but was retrieved from the network, not from cache. This happens when the page is for example a PHP script that changes its contents every time and shouldn't be cached by squid.

I have worked with Varnish a lot as an employee of a hosting provider, so I am very adept at troubleshooting TCP connections. Squid is more often used as a forward proxy (where Varnish is a reverse proxy).
