Hi, I have in-depth experience of iptables and fail2ban but let me tell you that we can not "stop" DDoS attack using a firewal. We require a 3rd party (premium solution) for that. A ddos attack is a bandwidth attack, the best we can do is update and patch our apps and block IP and certain strings from approaching our server. Thanks
