Hello, The problem you are facing with CentOS 7 on vSphere 6.7U1 and above is a known situation that is caused of open-vm-tools. Asssuming you have the correct VM settings within VM property (as CentOS7) as well as you upgraded the HW version of the VM (which it seems you indeed upgraded it) problem should be related with open-vm-tools. I think you have two options to proceed if above assumptions are true, first option is to uninstall open-vm-tools, download the latest open-vm-tools from GITHUB OR uninstall open-vm-tools, install vmware native tools and then change the VM properties to CentOS 4/5 and later within vcenter. I shared this information because i believe this is a software bug and there is no ultimate solution a freelancer can provide but just provide workarounds.
