This project is to complete a native Android mobile application.
The bulk of the front-end and MS SQL database structure has been developed already as a working model of the application. This project is therefore to develop the web api layer in C#.Net from scratch (as the working model is based on PHP and MySQL), do the app integration with the back-end and complete the front-end app.
The mobile app will have a mixture of about 50 activities and fragments with tight geolocation integration.
The main function of the app will be:
User: to find retailers that are a specific distance from the user's location or a chosen location on a map; browse and add retailer items to a cart which can then be purchased or reserved.
Retailers: to upload their products in bulk with a CSV or single items and review purchases/reservations.
Other core features will be:
1. Integration of a Whatsapp like short messaging solution between the user and the retailer.
2. Integration into 7 major payment gateways, each retailer can choose their own method of payment.
3. Scan QR codes
4. Use push notifications for updates on items or messages
5. Localization
6. necessary scaled UI versions
7. Geolocation
8. Reporting
9. Local caching
The end application architecture must be:
1. Native Android - mobile app
2. Volley - data connection mechanism (unless if you can convince me otherwise)
3. MS SQL server - database
4. C#.Net - web api layer
