This Project is to create a system to allow a mobile device to stream music to multiple Bluetooth speakers/headphones simultaneously. It has two main deliverables: 1. A hardware device which includes the Bluetooth receiver and transmitter(s). The successful bidder will need to identify a suitable set of standard components and (if necessary) provide modified firmware to facilitate the desired functionality. a. The device will support Bluetooth 4.1 and should allow connection of up to 12 Bluetooth Speakers/Headphones. b. The successful bidder will provide a full components and instructions for assembly. c. The successful bidder will provide suitably commented code for any custom firmware, as well as instructions for loading. d. Optional: The device should have provision for “calibrating” using the mobile app. This procedure will allow users to easily configure a delay for each speaker to ensure synchronous playback. 2. A mobile app that will run on the mobile device and will allow users to connect/disconnect the Bluetooth speakers to the hardware device. GUI design will simple and will be provided by me. a. The app will allow users to add/remove connections. b. Optional: The app will allow users to calibrate the system by configuring a delay for each connected speaker to allow synchronous playback. c. The app will be available for an Android (v5.1 and above) and iOS (iOS 10 and above) d. The successful bidder will provide fully documented source code for the apps. Bidders will provide an estimate of the time required to complete the project, as well as the price that they will charge. They should also indicate whether they can complete the project in full (including the optional items). The rights to all of the project deliverables will be assigned to me.
