Hi there, I am an iOS app developer. I am developing iOS app since iOS SDK version 2.x.. A lot has changed since then.. Memory management changed to ARC (Automatic reference counting). nib files changed to storyboards. SpriteKit changed to Metal, and many many more..Without seeing the code, I am not sure how much would need to be redone to make it compatible with the newer SDKs..
