Site Redesign and development

We're considering a site redesign at StockRumors.com. We would like to build a site that sells our product (information) better. We currently have a blog, a forum (which we may discontinue), the member's page (which lists rumors), the old rumors page, and a few other generic pages (disclaimer, etc). Our current pages are done in php using MYSQL to work with the databases. We are looking into adding several parts to the database (so we better understand our clients) and click tracking to see where the users go and how long they spend there. It would be nice to have a dynamic system in place so I can modify which data to collect and where to collect it easily. Our design thus far has been done by an ammateur programmer. Our membership pages automatically refresh, and we would prefer to incorporate some form of Asynchronous Java (AJAX) or something to update only parts of the pages automatically. Our admin pages could also use some updating/upgrading, however this is much less of a priority. We have a PR of 4 and I have built the page so that our "old rumors" are automatically indexed by the major search engines (by using http rewrite). We would like to deveop a "Chat Room" for members -- where certain approved members could ask questions and receive answers, and everyone else could just view answers. Also, we would like to develop a Portfolio system allowing people to automatically receive updates about the stocks they choose through email. Also, if possible, a system that automatically sends out IMs over AIM and other systems to those in the database. We need a dynamic landing page that looks very neat and professional that I can update without having to work with the HTML. I personally like dark backgrounds. We are also possibly looking for help setting up a merchant account system that will allow for free trials, subscription (recurring billing) creation and cancelation, accepting international credit cards.
