“Twitter Auction?? Project proposal. September 26, 2009. Summary: a twitter application (website) that allows twitter users to create an auction page, allowing other twitter users to buy and sell via twitter. Timeframe: go live January 1, 2010 (17 weeks of development) Total budget: $10,000 Payment: payment will be provided upon completion of each project milestone, and bonus will be added for completing each milestone within the timeframe. Interaction: I, product manager, point to keep in frequent contact with the development team using the following Web 2.O. tools: 1. Protoshare - for communicating the wireframe of the website 2. Agilebuddy - keeping track of milestones, user stories, and bugs as well as for testing 3. Github - for versioning code, and deployment 4. Heroku or other cloud server for deployment 5. Skype - for communication Flexibility: the developers should be flexible enough to allow for changes in the business requirements as the need arises, I, product manager, will make the business needs as clear as possible and will always be available in case there are questions about what is expected. The project milestones and approximate time and budget are: 0. choose a developer (two weeks) 1. a user model which allows users to login via twitter (1 week / $500) 2. a points system which tracks user points (1-2 weeks / $1000) 3. twitter auction system, bidding winning, closing, transacting (3-5 weeks / $3000) 4. a transaction system which allows users to purchase new points and exchange points for cash (3 weeks / $1000) 5. user interface ($1000) 6. Public deployment (one week / $500) The developers should be experienced with the following technologies: 1. twitter API including open authentication 2. agile Web development 3. Ruby on rails, Ajax, JavaScript 4. databases: MySQL etc. 5. PayPal, Google checkout, Amazon Web services, credit card processing 6.
