My website needs a scheduling form/utility such that a user can sign up for, and make payment to attend a class that is scheduled for a given day, taught by a given Instructor teaching a given course.? The front-end user facing form would contain the following fields:? Date, course name, user's first name, user's last name, user's e-mail address.? This would be followed by a payment button which would direct the user to PayPal (my business account).? When the PayPal utility returns a confirmation to my website that a user has paid, then it would remove one slot from being available to customers on the given class date.
The back end of the scheduling form/utility would allow an admin user to login, and retrieve the class date, associated Instructor name, and a chart displaying the first name, last name and e-mail address of each payment confirmed user that chose that particular class to attend.? I would like it to be easy to copy the e-mail addresses en-masse such that they could be easily pasted into the "to" field of an e-mail client.
The back-end of the scheduling utility should also allow the admin to specify the following:? name of course, date course scheduled to be taught, Instructor teaching the course, number of user slots available per course on a particular day.? Additionally, the application should allow multiple courses to be taught on the same day, in case the business expands.? The previously mentioned fields should be available every time a course is added, regardless if they are added to the same day or a different day.? Once users have purchased all of the specified slots for a particular course on a particular day, it should no longer appear as available in the class date on the front-end user facing scheduling utility/form.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my small project, and I look forward to discussing it further with you.
## Deliverables
As you can probably tell, this project is part of a very small weekend side business for myself.? It definitely is a one man show!!!!? I currently have a site built using an open source software called Moodle, which is intended for educational entities.? However, due to the complexity of the software, a friend recommended that I switch to Wordpress to author my site.? I have a demo site up on the Wordpress server.? I intend on exporting the Wordpress site over to my server space (which is one of the more desirable features of Wordpress).? Once the Wordpress demo is exported to my site, it will be possible to add the proposed Schedule application/form to my site.
However, I am also open to contracting out the design for an html/php based simple web page site custom designed by a programmer.? My site is very simple;? it just has several pages that describe who we are, what we do, a letter to our customers, and an FAQ page.? So, that may be open to discussion as well.
Thank you again for your time and consideration of this small project!!!? I look forward to conversing with you regarding the schedule application/form/widget!!
