We currently have a shell script ([login to view URL]) which controls a linux dedicated server's functionality to provide backup services. It is used to
provide this service: [login to view URL]
We would like a web interface / control panel created for this service to utilize instead of the shell script. Prefer Perl, as our staff can maintain/troubleshoot it if need be in the future, but will consider other option, such as PHP. We want to heavily load it up with features as well, not just the simple few commands from the shell script. Should have an automated installer script included, that takes a bare Linux server are installs/updates all system files, configures things as needed, and installs the backup service control panel. Also needs to be a secure licensing system, as we will most likely start to sell this software if we think it is marketable. The interface and install process should be very similar to the look and feel of CPanel & WebHostManager ([login to view URL]). Systems needs both admin and client/end-user interface.
A full detailed list of features can be found at:
[login to view URL]~admin/[login to view URL]
for bidding purposes....
We basically want all the features from the CPanel & WebHostManager control panel interfaces that would apply specifically to a backup hosting server (ignoring things not needed for such a service and management of such on both admin/client side). We can provide you access to CPanel & WebHostManager demo account/server for review as well...
## Deliverables
Auto-installer should run on Fedora, CentOS, & possibly Debian/Ubuntu, sensing which operating system and version it is installing on, and pulling/updating necessary system files accordingly (we have local repositories for this purpose which should be used).
Everything I have explained so far should give a general idea of what is required. We can work out specifics further and exact project cost once we find a match for our programming needs.
We would like this completed as soon as possible, but understand this is a large project and will take some time, We are not against hiring a team to complete this faster.
Please feel free to ask any questions you might have or for clarification!
