The application will export HIPAA 837 files for both Professional and Institutional claims from our software. The file will be sent to a third party, and an 835 file returned. The returned 835 will be reconciled with the 837, and the user may edit the claims that weren't accepted as-is. The application will then allow those claims to be re-exported. This will be a very involved project that may require hundreds of hours of development and debugging. You can find complete specifications for the HIPAA file formats online through Washington Publishing Company ([login to view URL]). The database format is proprietary, and will be disclosed to a successful bidder.
