Vista Certification of existing product - MSI and VB

I own a site with a few Outlook add-ons. One of them is testing right now for Vista-certification and it is not going all that well, I am sorry to say. The situation is this: 1. I am a developer myself with lots of ideas but very little time to actually develop anything and therefore I have an outsourced developer already doing most of the heavy work. That is working reasonably well. 2. All of my code is presently written in VB6 and I do NOT want to change to .NET. 3. My best seller and the product I would like to get Vista certified is “Public Folder HelpDesk for Outlook?? ??" around 1000 organizations worldwide use it but that number includes quite a few free recipients from schools, charities and hospitals. 4. The outsourced developer I currently employ does not have the time nor the skills to actually change my app enough to make it Vista certifiable. 5. From what I understand the two major remaining problems with my certification are a. I don’t have an MSI installer that complies with all the Vista certification requirements b. I presently do not use WER for error reporting Now the reason I am writing is that I would like to get some expert help with solving the remaining issues and getting my application Vista certified. The product is described at: <[login to view URL]> As you will see it has already earned the "Works with Vista" logo, but the "Certified for"-logo is a bit more tricky. I think the person/team who can take on this task needs to have good skills in VB and expert skills in building msi installers. Of course, if you manage to do the work for one of my products I will want to certify my other products also - so this can mean more work for the right person. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4) If the project does NOT result in a Vista certification it will be of no value to me and thus I will not pay for any work done! 5) Before bidding you should make sure you understand a, Vista certification guidelines as described in the MS documents attached b, My product, as linked above ## Platform Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and Vista Outlook 2000-2007 Excel 2000-2007
