My plan: keep it simple. A web page (accessible from a mobile or desktop device) with a form for a PIN number and a drop down list of job IDs. Enter your pin, select your job, hit "CLOCK IN" or "CLOCK OUT". Nothing Fancy. Just functional. On the backend: an SQLite database with several tables. One for employees (with PIN numbers), another for jobs (with IDs and status), and one for sessions (employee, job, clock-in time, clock-out time). You can add jobs and employees by updating the database. There are many useful graphical tools for this. We will need to set up a web server to host the page and the scripts if you don't already have one.

Hi, From my understanding, this boils down to a basic attendance system. I plan to do this in PHP. By making the front end responsive, your technicians can comfortably browse it on a smartphone. It will have two roles : Manager : . ability to add technician accounts . ability to schedule jobs Technician : . log in with the generated four-digit code . clock in one of the jobs that will be loaded from the backend With that being said, I still don't quite get the "change hours in the event of a mis punched" part.
