Hi there,
I have inspected the target website and I can confirm all the data can be returned without much trouble. I am not sure where to look for "Type of entity", I thought you were referring to business category, but since it's listed later it must be something else.
I would probably be able to finalize it today if I push hard, but I should definitely be able to complete by tomorrow.
I would write the scraper in PHP, and will either allow it to accept 2 GET parameters one for keyword and other for city, province. A minor concern, when you type the location or keyword on target website, there is an autocomplete which makes sure you type the location, for example, in the format they will be able to parse server side. It works if the search is done without using the autocomplete and if the terms in the url are changed afterwards, so as long as you stick to the address format they suggest it should be fine.
For each run, I could make it output/do one more more of these with the data:
- CSV (excel compatible)
- JSON
- enter data to a MySQL or SQLite DB
-text file
I found no protections in place on the site that would stop me, but I didn't test how they react on making unusual amount of requests. I hope they don't have such checks/protectons in place as those are usually discovered later after running it successfully for some time. Shall we experience something like that we could use a proxy.
Regards,
Julijan
