Looking for VUE.JS Developer

*Please read carefully and apply. Our team is looking for a "static site" expert to join our ranks and take care of so-called "static" sites. We have a strong VueJS application development team and multiple products, some of which are in production and others which are under active development. We're a 100% distributed team with no office hours or timezones or meetings or calls. As such it's crucial that you are: * Independant * Communicative * Collaborative * Process Driven We have extremely high standards, as well as very intense processes, most of which are automated. We rely heavily on CI/CD, as well as unit tests and peer reviews. Your code needs to pass multiple checks before it can be merged: - StyleCI - Formatting - Codacy - Code Analysis - Travis - Build and Test - Codecov - Coverage - Peer Review - QA Approval Due to the size and nature of the team you do not have to worry about config, devops, deployments or hosting. There is a QA team that will test and review your work continuously, and it's important you collaborate with them early on in the process. We have a few strict rules - Never commit secrets. Ever. Use env vars/files. - Make 1 branch for 1 feature - Open a PR before you start working - Do as little work as possible to reach the feature - Push regularly to take advantage of the CI and automation, as well as QA and peers. - A dev process document will be shared that explains the use of labels in the process. We provide the several tools and subscriptions for devs that work with us, and we communicate exclusively through slack - it is the central hub of the entire organisation. All communication is assumed to be asynchronous. We're looking for the following skills: - VueJS - Single Page Brochure Site creation - Component creation - Frontend Design skills - Responsive Design skills We need a lot of independence. You must be able to work from a 'minimal' brief, and make your own judgement calls. This will be especially apparent when receiving a brief that is only designed for desktop - you will need to make your own decisions around how to make it work on mobile. *This independence and confidence is critical* This project is a 'trial run' - if you perform well and deliver high quality code you will be afforded the opportunity to join the team on a full time hourly basis. This particular trial run is a single page, scrolling, super basic run of the mill brochure site. Fixed header, static content, JS scrolling - if you're good at this you'll know the drill and will instantly see what the deal is. We prefer 'vanilla' code (this means no frameworks or plugins whenever possible) although we would consider the new, official VuePress for this project if you can justify the use of it.
