Proxy server on VPS for new program

Summary:

I want a Server Based Block Grabber for an android program called Amazon Flex. Blocks are released by their server and I am trying to be able to grab them before they get out to other users.

I have a program currently in use that I want to base the project off of. You can copy sources and whatever scripts you need from it. But i want to keep this original so alterations may be needed to keep from violating any copyrights etc. I have a few alterations already in mind for the software to vastly improve its functions.

How it works:

Essentially the software is a proxy server on a VPS, which uses my credentials to log in. It connects to the server to access the blocks for the Flex program/app. It checks for blocks several times (10-20 is my guess) times per second (currently integrated in the program). Then when a block meeting my search criteria becomes available it is grabbed from the server and accepted. Where it is displayed on my app.

Reasons:

The current program I've been using essentially has no support and constantly gets blocked due to its speed and unknown reasons by amazon. I'd like to avoid continually paying fees for utilizing someone elses VPS and just use my own. My revisions should improve efficiency and I'd like help from you to make this happen.
