ranking an animal by weight and size

I have a MYSQL Database with animal, e.g. dogs. Within this database I have various breeds, such as Doberman, Boxer, etc. I need to rank them by two criteria for now: Size and weight. My end result should show a ranking sorted decending by weight, then by size. The ranking needs to start with one with every breed. I think you call it dense ranking? I actually programmed something and it works when I test it in MYADMIN, but on my webpage (wordpress) it will not allow it. the code is an integral part I use with wpdatables, which is a plugin. I believe it may be because it is a mix of utf8 and another language? If you have IT knowledge to bridge this problem without having the need to write a code, that will be fine with me, as well. After all, I have a code which works in my Admin. It is important it works in my Admin and wordpress. If you can make a plugiun which does the trick I would be interested in that as well. However, on the webpage I need to be able to filter by additional criteria, such as state, country on the ajax-level. If you have questions, please contact me.
