Create a program

*This is a proof of concept for a multiple stage project. Create a program to import log files in to a database. Each piece of equipment will have a different name and will need to be kept in a different table of the database. Data logs will be similar but may have some different wording and not all will have the same fields. From the front end GUI I need to be able to import CSV files with an option to have selectable delimiters. Once the format for that particular log file is set it will not change, so I need the ability to save a configuration file for each log file and then automatically import them. The most important part of this phase is a nice GUI based import tool that will allow users to easily map fields from the CSV file to the corresponding table and column in the database (Similar to the sql server import wizard but used in the front end gui). The import tool should show a preview prior to importing to let the user verify the field mappings are correct. The table should just be the name of the equipment and the columns for all of the tables should be in the same format. I will also need a proof of concept to create reports based on the data in the database complete with graphs. I also need to make sure that the information isn’t duplicated if the log files are imported again by mistake. My preference for the program would be in C# and mssql or mysql but I am open to other possibilities. If you bid let me know what program language and database you would use and why.
