Ensemble method for stock prediction

Experienced data scientist who has worked extensively used machine learning for stock market predictions/ movement prediction. I have been working as a data scientist since last two years with a pure play analytics firm. I have never worked on a stock prediction problem before but have done all the steps mentioned in your description for other problem spaces including fraud detection, output volume prediction,etc. I have been reading up on stocks prediction and have some questions like 1. Is it an inter day or intra day prediction 2. How is the data to be acquired ,etc. A little clarity on such doubts and I should be good to work on the problem. Goes without saying that I will try my best to stick to timelines.
