Much has been written about the role of transformational leadership and its positive impact on succeeding organizational change, improving overall performance and inspiring individuals to better develop themselves (Bass & Avolio, 1994; Li, 2015; Santora, 2001) While a range of case studies of literature has been done in developed countries and multinational corporations, there seem to have been few, if any research studies conducted on transformational leadership in African and Moroccan companies.
Purpose of the study:
The purpose of this study is to explore transformational leadership & organizational change in western companies and to address the literature gap about how western transformational leadership can be applied in Moroccan companies to succeed transformations and organizational change. By using a qualitative approach to gather data from a literature review, the findings of this study can contribute to a practical framework of transformational leadership for future use by african and moroccan companies.
The findings of the paper would contribute to producing a practical framework of transformational leadership dedicated to African and Moroccan companies. This framework is inspired by western multinational corporate experiences to position Morocco as an emerging economy.
