We are looking for a Professional Ruby on Rails Web Application Freelance Developer with a minimum of 5+ years of experience on a contract basis to join our team of exceptional developers working in a fast-paced environment to deliver world-class software. Ultimately, you will contribute in all phases of the software development life cycle, from design to deployment. Responsibilities: - Write clean, maintainable and efficient code - Build back-end components for web applications - Test applications for performance, responsiveness and security - Review and debug junior developers’ code - Integrate data storage and data processing solutions - Build, install and share gems and plugins - Create automated test scripts - Improve and maintain applications after deployment - Coordinate with team members who work on different layers of infrastructure - Design robust, scalable and secure features - Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle - Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring and code standards) - Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design Requirements: - Proven work experience as a Ruby on Rails developer - Proven work experience in software development - Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS and JQuery - Experience developing highly interactive applications - A firm grasp of object oriented analysis and design - Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code - Good knowledge of relational databases - Working knowledge of NoSQL databases - Interest and basic knowledge of mathematical problems, statistics - Someone who can independently conceive, design and deliver a product that is meaningful, relevant, intuitive and solves the customer problem in an effective manner - BE / B Tech / M Tech from Tier 1 colleges in Computer Science Engineering
